General
Any partner with outstanding payments to Port Stephens Tourism Limited, trading as Destination Port Stephens (DPS), must settle their accounts before their ad will be included in the Magazine. Partners deemed by the board to have an unsatisfactory payment history can be asked to pay the full cost of their ad in cash before it is accepted for inclusion. This excludes partners on a payment plan, except for the additional free-form advertising.
Payment
No advertisement will be published in the Magazine unless the full payment has been received. It is the advertisers’ sole responsibility to ensure that charges are fully paid by the date advised at proof stage. If payment is not received by this date, the advert will be withdrawn from the guide and the payment forfeited.
Partners with a payment plan are not required to pay in full, except the additional free-form advertising.
Ad bookings and cancellations
All materials must be submitted online no later than Thursday 31st July 2025, and comply with the advertising guidelines. No cancellation of space can be accepted or refunded after Thursday, 7th August 2025.
All advertisers have the opportunity to confirm and approve the final design of their advertisement. Proofs will be emailed to the address specified on the booking. Your ad price includes 1 set of author’s corrections. For each additional change after that you will incur a cost of $150 per change.
Failure to confirm the ad within the timeframe specified constitutes full acceptance. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to ensure that they have received a draft for approval by the specified date.

General
Whilst every care will be taken to ensure the insertion of an advertisement in accordance with instructions and requests, no liability can be accepted for any loss occasioned by omission, alteration, or misplacement. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to proof advertisements before publication. All copy and artwork for advertisements is subject to the approval of the board of Destination Port Stephens or its nominated representatives.
Whilst every effort will be made to publish on or before the advertised time of publication, the publisher shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by the failure of an advertisement to appear by any specific date, or at all for any cause whatsoever.
The advertiser hereby indemnifies and agrees to hold indemnified the publisher, its servants and agents, and each of them against all liability, claims or proceedings whatsoever, which may arise from the publication of any material pursuant of the order, and in particular, but without limiting, the generality of the forgoing, to indemnify and hold indemnified each and all of them against any action of defamation, slander of title, breach of copyrights, or infringement of any trademark, name or description, invasion of privacy, or breach of any provision of the Trade Practices Act 1974.
All advertisement material must comply with all relevant legislation. The maximum liability for omissions or errors is limited to the refund of the full cost of the advertisement in question. Placement of the advertisement within the publication is at the sole discretion of the publisher.
The production of the Magazine is subject to advertising participation. Should there be insufficient advertising to support the publication of the Magazine, Destination Port Stephens reserves the right to delay or cancel the publication. The value of the advertisement for each tier that have been paid in full will be refunded at time of notification.
